MALARIA CODES - 'ONE TEN HUNDRED THOUSAND MILLION'
By The Octopus Project (Copyright 2005)

Here's the guitar by itself.

The guitar comes in halfway through the song, during the breakdown.

All the continuous notes (6's and 8's) are hit on the downbeats except the very last 12, which are hit on the upbeats.  The two 8's right next to each other on the last part are hit quickly and that's the spot that you switch from downbeats to upbeats.

Also, let the first two notes of each little part ring as long as you can.

E -----6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-----------------------------------------------------------------------
B ----------------------------------------8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8------8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-
G --------------------------------------8----------------------------------8-------------------------------
D ---5--------------------------------8----------------------------------10--------------------------------
A -6-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
E ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Or, you can play the last part like this:
E -----------------------------------     E -----------------------------------
B -----------------------------------     B ------4-4-44-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-
G ------8-8-88-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-     G -----------------------------------
D -8\6-5-----------------------------     D -8\6-5-----------------------------
A -----------------------------------     A -----------------------------------
E -----------------------------------     E -----------------------------------

Repeat the whole thing x 4

E --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------3-----
G (0)-7----5-3-2-3------------------------------------(0)-7----5-3-2-3------------------------------0-----
D --------------------0----0-0-3-1-0-------------0-----------------------0----0-0-3-1-0-------------0-----
A --------------------------------------3-1-0-1---------------------------------------------3-1-0-1-1-----
E --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------3-----

This is the only riff you'll play, but it changes how many times you play through it depending on what part of the song is happening.

The accidental note at the beginning, (0), is not played the very first time.

Also, at risk of me sounding cheesy, it should be played confidently.........or, hitting the notes hard, or whatever. Big and ringy.
