EXIT COUNSELOR - 'ONE TEN HUNDRED THOUSAND MILLION'
By The Octopus Project (Copyright 2005)

Do feedback/noise during drum break.

The guitar riff comes in halfway through the song, after the drum freakout.

ALL OF THE CHAMPS THAT EVER LIVED - 'ONE TEN HUNDRED THOUSAND MILLION'
By The Octopus Project (Copyright 2005)

Start after the little beginning thing.

E ----------------
B ----------------
G ----------------
D --9\---7\---5---    x 12
A ----------------
E 7--\-5--\-3-----

Then with just a little distortion.....

E ----------------
B 12-10------10ho12
D ------12--------    x 4
A ----------------
E ----------------

After a little break, clean again....

E ----8-7---8-7---------
B ----------------8-7---
G 9--------------------7ho
D -----------------------    x 6
A -----------------------
E -----------------------

In the live version, we cut out the "back to main riff part" and go straight into the louder part at the end.

Do this really quickly, kinda mandolin like. This is the same thing I'm playing at the beginning.

E ----------------------------(triplets)----------
B ------------------------------------------------
G ----77799--------77799---12-12-12-11-11-11------
D 9999-----9---9999-----9-------------------12-12-    x 6
A ------------------------------------------------
E ------------------------------------------------

Then the beginning thing again.

E ----------------
B ----------------
G ----------------
D --9\---7\---5---    x 4
A ----------------
E 7--\-5--\-3-----

RIGHTEOUS APE & BIRD - 'IDENTIFICATION PARADE'
The Octopus Project (Copyright 2005)

Here's some keyboard stuff that you'll play most of the song.

These are kinda droney chords that happen at 0:44, 0:54, 1:03, 1:12, 1:21 (when the cymbals are hit on the recording).

       B      B      B
B      F#     G#     F#     B
D#     D#     D#     D#     D#

Then...

Hit these chords when the left guitar goes "na na na." If that makes sense. It's not on the recording this way, but you're basically playing off the keys on there.

G#   G#    G    G#
E    D#    D    D#   (x 4) On the 3rd time, start droning a low E as well.

Then, start with the low E, but keep building E's for the build up before the quiet part.

When it kicks back in play the first three chords from the beginning.

       B      B
B      F#     G#
D#     D#     D#

Then run over to me and I'll hand you the guitar, and I'll switch to bass. Here's the guitar at the end.

E 7777777777777777-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10

A ----------------------------------------------------------------
E ----------------------------------------------------------------

Then a big E chord a bunch of times and feedback.

ROROL - 'IDENTIFICATION PARADE'

You only play two notes the whole time, but it's harder than it sounds.

Start with just the high G.

G ----------------------
D 5---5-5---5-5---5-----
A ----------------------
E ------------------etc-

Do this until the guitars have done the little melody thing twice. Then, switch to the second part.

G ----------------------
D 5---5-5---5-5---5-----
A ----------------------
E 3---3-3---3-3---3-etc-

This will go on for a while. Toto will switch to drums, I'll switch to the sampler, then you keep doing the same thing, but we rock out a little more. It's different from the recording.

WHAT THEY FOUND - 'IDENTIFICATION PARADE'

This is the song you play bells on. Start when everything kicks in.

D# F# D# G#, D# F# D# G#, D# F# D# G#.... D# G# D# B, D# A# D# B, D# G# D# B (x 4)

E A# E B, E A# E B, E A# E B.... F A# F B, F A# F B, F A# F B....
D# F# D# G#, D# F# D# G#, D# F# D# G#.... D# G# D# B, D# A# D# B, D# G# D# B (x 2)

Then a little break in the middle, and repeat the whole thing again.

Bass!

Hit this with the fuzz pedal when the guitars do the distorted thing at the beginning.

G ----------------------
D ----------------------
A ----------------------
E 13-13-13-13-13-13-----   This happens 4 times. You don't play anything when the guitars are clean.

Then...

G -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
D -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------   x 2

CRYING AT THE AQUARIUM - 'ONE TEN HUNDRED THOUSAND MILLION'
By The Octopus Project (Copyright 2005)

The live version differs from the recording because there's more guitar stuff going on at the beginning and the end. The link to a live recording is above. The guitar is played with a little bit of delay.

Hit the first chord really hard and do a whammy/neck bend thing.

E -0\---x-x----x-x-
B -7\---x-x----x-x-
G -8\---x-x----x-x-
D -9\---x-x----x-x-

Toto is gonna send me the tab to the middle part.

Then repeat the first stuff once.
